Copper Kawasaki, Sydney
The bike started life as a stock-standard Kawasaki W650.
We stripped off the comical chrome mudguards, the ludicrous indicators and brake lights, the old-man handlebars and anything else that wasn’t bolted on for a very good reason.
We then sent a few select parts off for copper plating, sprayed other bits satin black, and reassembled it all with love and attention (and beer, sweat and a few tears).
The people at Peugeot must have seen the bike cruising around Bondi because they went and made a car, using our ideas. We’re still waiting for an apology.
