This renovation of an original 2 bedroom apartment in the Steamboat building was completed to our design in the summer of 2009 – 2010 by Rob Fraser and Rob Johnson of Bemergals Constructions. The apartment was completely stripped and redesigned to include a second bathroom, a media room and a stone fireplace. The fitout is of exceptionally high quality and the collaboration between architect, client and builder was a supreme success. This 2 story family home in Castle Cove is the result of a close collaboration with the client to ensure every detail was just as they wanted. The site had some difficult planning constraints including a shared driveway, bushfire considerations, and horizontal and vertical setbacks from all boundaries. The result is an extremely comfortable home for this family of 6.
